Walschon’s Service Department provides customers with fully equipped, experienced, and professionally trained service technicians 24-hours a day. Our professional service technicians and the project supervisors in the office have years of experience to solve any and all of your fire protection needs.
- On Call 7-days a week 24-hours a day. Our live answering service allows for personal contact with our office personnel to expedite our company's unmatched response time to any of your emergencies. Our field foremen are union trained by the Local 483 training center in Hayward and are dispatched on fully equipped trucks.
- Unmatched Knowledge of Valves and Devices - we are able to repair old as well as new systems.
- Underground Separations - our technicians can restore underground service to your facility in the minimum amount of lost time every day of the year.
Walschon Fire Protection will meet all local fire codes, by performing the required five year, annual, quarterly, monthly, or weekly inspections for your business.
In keeping with the new NFPA 25 standard adopted by the State Fire Marshal and many other municipalities across the country, our Service Division routinely performs the following tasks:
- Inspect all types of automatic sprinkler systems
- Visually inspect sprinklers from floor level to insure they are free of corrosion, obstructions to spray patterns, foreign material, paint, and physical damage
- Inspect sprinkler piping annually for overall condition, mechanical damage, leakage, corrosion, and misalignment
- Quarterly inspections of standpipes, standpipe hose connections, standpipe hose cabinets, and 2" main drains
- Perform annual fire pump test
- Full flow standpipe testing every 5 years, meeting NFPA 13 requirements
- Perform weekly fire pump run maintenance
- Verify that hydraulic nameplates are securely attached to the sprinkler riser
- Annual testing of all fire hydrants
- Perform 5 and 10 year internal inspections
- Provide records of all required inspections and tests of fire protection systems & devices
Walschon Fire Protection has its own in-house design department that employs professional designers using computer aided design (CAD) software to produce state of the art 3D drawings for project management.
